Application System Administrator (Hybrid)
Client: Major Pharmaceutical Client
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Pay Rate: $70.00-$90.00/ Hr on W2
DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Application Systems Administrator to provide operational support, administration, and maintenance of manufacturing, laboratory, and automation systems in a regulated environment. This role is responsible for ensuring systems remain reliable, secure, compliant, and audit‑ready while supporting day‑to‑day operations, troubleshooting, change management, and system lifecycle activities.
Key Responsibilities System Administration & Maintenance- Perform routine administration and support of manufacturing, laboratory, and automation applications.
- Maintain systems in a validated and compliant state.
- Execute system maintenance activities, including patch coordination, system health checks, backups, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and properly documented.
- Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions.
- Support periodic access reviews and security audits.
- Investigate and resolve user access issues.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity and security requirements.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and alerts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents and user‑reported issues.
- Escalate critical issues as required.
- Support root cause investigations, deviations, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Execute system changes through approved change management processes.
- Maintain configuration documentation and system inventories.
- Support system upgrades, patching, enhancements, and lifecycle management activities.
- Monitor and maintain backup and recovery processes.
- Support disaster recovery testing and backup verification activities.
- Maintain recovery documentation and procedures.
- Maintain accurate administration logs and operational records.
- Ensure all documentation remains current, complete, and audit‑ready.
- Support the development and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and technical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and data integrity requirements.
- Conduct periodic system reviews and health checks.
- Review user access, audit trails, antivirus logs, and system performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimization.
- Ensure timely resolution of critical system issues.
- Partner with engineering, IT, quality, laboratory, and operations teams.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing and operational activities.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience administering computerized systems within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, laboratory, and automation systems.
- Experience with user access management, system monitoring, incident management, and change control.
- Knowledge of data integrity principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Understanding of computerized system validation (CSV) methodologies.
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional environments.
