This role allows you to use your advanced cloud security skills to improve warfighter systems by guiding the development of cloud‑based security architectures for some of the Air Force's most critical systems.

You will design and implement a secure cloud‑based, mission‑critical system, recommend tools and capabilities, and work with the Air Force to meet information assurance and security requirements.

Responsibilities

You will design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures that align with the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF). Your responsibilities include evaluating compliance, selecting appropriate cloud services and tools, integrating security controls across on‑premises, cloud‑based, and hybrid environments, and mentoring junior cloud security professionals.

Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience evaluating the compliance of a system against RMF using DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, or maintaining a government‑approved security suite of cybersecurity tools and methods.
  • Experience evaluating and recommending cloud services, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and enhance system capabilities for government organizations.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
  • Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • DoD 8140 certification such as CompTIA Security+, Cloud+, CySA+, CASP+, SANS GSEC, or ISC² CGRC.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience writing in IaC tools such as AWS Cloud Formation or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate‑level cloud computing certification such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified AWS Solutions Architect, or Dev Ops Engineer certification.
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Secret clearance is required.
