Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Digital Delivery and Performance, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources and processes to achieve project and program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. This role ensures alignment with strategic business goals and contributes to the successful delivery of technical solutions. In addition, this role actively works on building and maintaining the project portfolio of DD&T Global Manufacturing and Labs.

As part of the Digital Delivery and Performance organization you will support driving project accountability across local and global project teams and ensure governance and best practices are implemented accordingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management
  • Lead and manage the scope, schedule, cost, and quality of programs and projects to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on status, risks, and accomplishments to ensure successful delivery
  • Partner with customers, product/platform owners, and Technology Business Partners to identify technology services that meet strategic needs
  • Provide overall strategy, planning, and management guidance for project teams, globally and in manufacturing sites
  • Provide transparency of resource needs, manage inter-dependencies, facilitate escalations, and communicate impacts
  • Mentor and support more junior PMs, strengthen Takeda’s project delivery ability
  • Bring individuals with different technical backgrounds and priorities together and moderate conversation to drive decision/outcomes
Portfolio Management
  • Work with sites and global delivery organization on road maps
  • Create transparency and dissolve silos around projects to ensure alignment on resource and schedule throughout DD&T Global Manufacturing and Labs
  • Build annual portfolio based on individual road maps and budget
  • Create commitment for portfolio delivery with stakeholders
  • Monitor and guide portfolio execution, keep sponsors and stakeholders informed accordingly
Governance
  • Ensure program and project teams understand and comply with applicable governance policies and processes
  • Connect and interact with other organizations in Takeda that are driving project governance to create alignment and transparency
  • Challenge local and global governance processes where needed to enable efficient delivery across the organization
Performance
  • Monitor and rationalize programs and projects to ensure maximum value is delivered
  • Support monitoring of global key performance indicators and use this information to guide local and global roadmap decisions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Project Management Certifications (PMP, Prince 2, Agile, etc)
  • 10+ years relevant experience leading highly visible, complex IT programs/projects including management of full lifecycle implementations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to handle issues that occur during project completion
  • Excellent organization, budget, and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
  • Excellent oral and written English communications skills, business acumen, problem solving, and analytical skills to communicate ideas and data in a persuasive and appropriate manner
  • Extensive experience formulating, organizing, and monitoring inter-connected projects
  • Extensive experience partnering with business area leaders to plan and deliver programs and projects with limited or competing resources (time, budget, people)
  • In-depth pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience (GxP shopfloor)
  • Extensive exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations and quality assurance/control
  • Ability to manage data collection and analysis to make fact-based decisions
  • Ability to set priorities, develop workflow processes, and manage teams in a fluid environment
  • Ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of team members and provide suggestions for improvement
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Expertise in managing large-scale projects and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals
  • Strong strategic planning skills, able to develop effective project plans and roadmaps
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experienced in budget management, able to allocate resources efficiently and control project costs
  • Skilled in resource allocation, ensuring optimal deployment of personnel and assets for project success
  • Knowledgeable in compliance, familiar with regulatory requirements and internal policies affecting project management
  • Strong drive for delivery and ability to jump between 5-10 different projects / topics
  • Natural ability to quickly gauge priorities
  • Training and mentoring experience to help with improvement and adoption of PM best practices
