Job Description

Technician A (I.C.) 1st Shift (Monday through Friday Schedule 6:30am - 3:00pm) will work in the class 10 clean room of the Microelectronics Laboratory, supporting a broad range of activities in the Advanced Technology Division. The division produces semiconductor prototype devices and supports sponsored programs. Primary responsibilities include monitoring, prioritizing, and processing all work in progress within a specific process area and providing clear and accurate inter-shift pass-down of such work.

Specific process areas may include Wet and Dry Etch, Diffusion, Photolithography, CMP, Films and related metrology. The goal is to produce completed wafers with excellent quality and low cycle time. Additional responsibilities include performing SPC tasks, monitoring data, and interfacing with Program Originators on research projects; supporting the development of new processes.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, prioritize, and process work in progress within a specified process area.
  • Provide clear inter-shift pass-down of work.
  • Contribute to process areas such as Wet/Dry Etch, Diffusion, Photolithography, CMP, Films, and related metrology.
  • Perform SPC tasks and respond to data appropriately.
  • Interface with Program Originators on research projects and support process development.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a two-year technical school or equivalent, with at least two years of applicable experience.
  • At least two years of experience operating semiconductor processing equipment in a fabrication facility.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor related metrology tools is beneficial.
Skills
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to follow process instructions accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Motivated self-starter with solid work ethic; good written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to document tool operation via SOPs; reliable attendance.
  • Operate a variety of semiconductor processing equipment and identify potential problems, escalating as needed.
  • Collaborate with process engineering to learn newly installed tools and processes.
Compensation and Benefits

Hiring Range: $38.53 - $42.92 per hour.
