The Opportunity
In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: Waltham, MA and Lexington, MA
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

: $22.00 - $24.03

- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory management, material handling, warehouse operations, supply chain, or laboratory support
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or other regulated environments preferred
- Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, stock control, and Point of Use (POU) inventory management
- Familiarity with handling chemicals, reagents, hazardous materials, and biohazard waste.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
- Experience using inventory management systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP platforms
- Experience with barcode scanning systems and handheld devices
- Familiarity with inventory tracking software and computerized recordkeeping systems
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in GMP, GLP, ISO, or other regulated environments strongly preferred
- Flexibility to support multiple laboratory and operational functions
Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
- Manage laboratory inventory through replenishment, cycle counts, barcode scanning, audits, and Point of Use (POU) inventory management.
- Prepare, label, and distribute buffers, media, reagents, and laboratory materials in accordance with SOPs and quality standards.
- Collect, wash, sterilize, inspect, and redistribute laboratory glassware using glassware washers, autoclaves, and other laboratory equipment.
- Support daily laboratory operations by maintaining the availability of chemicals, reagents, consumables, and critical supplies.
- Safely handle hazardous materials and biohazard waste while maintaining compliance with GMP, GLP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory, batch, and operational records using inventory and laboratory management systems.
- Support laboratory readiness through equipment checks, cleanliness, organization, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with laboratory staff to provide exceptional service and cross-functional support while assisting with other laboratory operations as needed.

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$39,000.00 - $62,675.00
Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
