Research Associate II

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Research Associate II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Lexington, MA, 02420. Details of the position are as follows:

• Pay: $48.38/hr to start!
• 1 year contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
• Monday
  - Friday, standard day shift, onsite position.
• Position will mainly be responsible for siRNA drug candidate screening, hit identification, lead optimization, mammalian cell culture, in vitro screening, cell-based assays, RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, evaluating drug efficacy.
• Responsibilities also include analyzing experimental data, presenting results during group meetings, maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks, documenting experimental procedures, writing SOPs and technical reports, reviewing scientific literature, supporting research planning.
• Position will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional research teams, troubleshooting experimental challenges, contributing hands-on to laboratory research, addressing questions related to drug efficacy, supporting the advancement of siRNA therapeutic development.

• Master's degree is required.
• 4+ years' experience within industry/academic is required.
• Experience with primary cell culture is required, adipocytes/hepatocytes preferred.
• Experience with SiRNA / RNAi is required.
• Experience with in vitro screening, 3D culture systems, organoids, organ-on-chip is preferred.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques such as RT-qPCR and RNA extraction is preferred.
• Experience with cell-based assays is preferred.
