Responsibilities
- Execute chromatography, harvest operations, ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF), and viral clearance experiments (may support bioconjugation).
- Support downstream process development across micro, bench, and pilot scales.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure instrument readiness.
- Collaborate with senior process engineers to plan and execute larger experiments/study activities.
- Document work in electronic laboratory notebooks with clear, complete, timely records.
- Perform basic data analysis to review trends/conditions and support conclusions.
- Prepare technical summaries, study updates, and written materials.
- Follow established lab and process development procedures, including quality and safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement (workflows, data capture, experimental execution).
- Assist with small projects/specific tasks under close supervision.
- Associate degree with 2+ years relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field.
- Experience with chromatography, harvest, UF/DF, and viral clearance steps.
- Comfort with digital tools and openness to AI-enabled processes for analysis/documentation/workflow improvement.
- Experience with basic bioprocess control systems.
- Experience using electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Ability to perform basic data analysis and present results clearly in writing.
- Familiarity with technical writing and laboratory/quality requirements.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records under close supervision.
- Some relevant experience in process development/protein purification.
- U.S. base salary range: $71,800–$112,860; may be eligible for incentives and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, etc.).
