Senior Program Manager - Medical & Clinical Affairs

Position:
Sr Program Manager, Project and Portfolio Management – Medical and Clinical Affairs. This is a remote US-based role.

• Consistently project manage clinical studies to ensure completion on time within the scope and budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional management, clinical operations teams, and project teams to coordinate execution of clinical studies.
• Organize and manage clinical portfolio activities to identify required tasks, sequence activities, and allocate resources (time, budget, functions).
• Integrate work streams into master study schedules aligned with target business needs.
• Develop communication plans and provide updates to stakeholders, including the Head of Clinical Operations.
• Review study schedules with senior management and revise plans as needed for successful completion.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and escalate issues as appropriate for timely resolution.
• Maintain documentation and secure study information; support the PMO in developing tools, processes, and systems for consistent ways of working.

• Strong proficiency with MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, database software, SAP, MS Outlook, and project management cloud software.
• Clear and proactive communicator; effective at speaking, listening, and writing with appropriate tools and techniques.
• Leadership and teamwork orientation; ability to network across a complex organization and resolve problems collaboratively.
• Active listening and holistic thinking to align plans with business challenges and needs.
• Tenacity, sense of urgency, and ability to make timely decisions with large, less nimble partners or teams.
• Problem-solving skills to assess situations, gather information, generate solutions, and provide recommendations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability for execution excellence.
• Experience driving a culture of execution excellence and a strong understanding of clinical research trials.
• Balanced technical and commercial understanding relevant to medical devices or pharmaceuticals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience managing technical projects within a medical device and/or pharmaceutical company.
• Project management qualification is preferred (PMP, APM, or equivalent).
• Prior experience with clinical study execution in medical devices is desirable.

Position may involve travel up to 10% of the time, within the United States and Europe. Most trips will include overnight travel.

English: speaking, writing, and reading proficiency.
