Service Technician

$28-$31 per hour + strong benefits

We’re recruiting for an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join a residential property team. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who can work independently, handle complex repairs and support junior technicians when needed.

• Complete repairs across apartments, common areas and grounds, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, painting and general maintenance.
• Respond promptly to resident service requests, emergency calls and on-call issues, delivering a professional customer experience.
• Complete apartment turns and prepare vacant units for new resident move-ins.
• Support preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, inventory control and the upkeep of the maintenance shop.
• Prepare properties for REAC/HQS inspections and complete any necessary repairs or follow-up works.
• Mentor Maintenance Technicians I and II, providing technical guidance and supporting contractor management.

• At least 5 years’ advanced maintenance experience across three or more building trades.
• Multifamily, property management or hospitality maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
• Confident troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and general building repairs.
• REAC/HQS, HUD or affordable-housing experience is a real bonus.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable transport and comfort working an on-call/weekend rotation.
• Strong resident-facing customer service, organisation and problem-solving skills.

You’ll need to be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, PPE and mobile devices, as well as moving equipment up to 50 lbs and working outdoors when required.
