Role DescriptionThis is an adjunct (part-time) faculty position at Jubilee University in Lexington, Missouri. The Adjunct Professor of Art will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Introduction to Art as part of the General Education curriculum.
Primary responsibilities include planning and delivering lectures, developing and updating course curriculum, preparing syllabi and instructional materials, assessing student learning, and providing academic mentoring to students.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Art
- Ability to provide high-quality instruction in undergraduate Art courses
- Experience in curriculum development and course design
- Teaching experience in Art courses in a fully online environment preferred
- Experience teaching Art courses in higher education
- Ability to use instructional technology and learning management systems
- Commitment to the mission, values, and Christian identity of Jubilee University, including willingness to integrate faith and learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish-speaking ability preferred
- Experience teaching in a Christian higher education institution
- Active involvement in a Christian church community
- Ability to mentor and support students academically and spiritually
