Ethanol Fuels Lexington

To supervise daily plant operations to assure maximum output with minimum expense in a safe and orderly manner on a shift basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop a personal knowledge of all aspects of ethanol plant, ethanol, and co-product load out and chemical unloading operations.
  • Provide direction, leadership and instruction to production operators to allow efficient plant operations.
  • Ensure plant operations adheres to environmental and safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow procedures for plant start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and routine operations.
  • Keep accurate and timely logs.
  • Keep plant facility clean and well maintained.
  • Communicate plant operations updates and status to supervisor and Chief Industries staff as appropriate.
  • Follows instructions and direction from supervisor. Delegates as appropriate to operators and ensures tasks are completed as necessary.
  • Ensures plant SOP’s are followed and provides feedback on proposed changes or updates as appropriate.
  • Must be able to follow and understand complex drawings and prints of the process and equipment and respond immediately to sudden change. Must understand the properties of temperature, heat transfer, pressure, and vacuum and be able to apply this to the ethanol production process.
  • Assist Production Coordinator as requested in helping control other areas including work permits and maintenance work orders.
  • Accurately process timecards in a timely manner.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
