Our Fortune 500 Utility Client is seeking an Electrical Superintendent/Inspector to oversee all electrical construction activities for a major LNG facility project in Lexington, NC. This individual will act as the owner's representative, ensuring the EPC contractor delivers electrical work safely, with high quality, and in accordance with project requirements.
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience supporting electrical systems within LNG, natural gas, industrial, or large-scale energy facilities and will provide onsite leadership throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and inspect electrical installation work performed by contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Oversee installation of power distribution systems, substations, switch gear, MCCs, transformers, grounding systems, cabling, and instrumentation-related electrical infrastructure.
- Review electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, construction packages, and technical documentation.
- Witness testing, energization, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
- Identify construction deficiencies and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control inspections.
- Monitor project progress, contractor performance, and schedule adherence.
- Coordinate closely with construction management, engineering teams, and other discipline superintendents.
- Support project turnover and startup readiness activities.
- 10+ years of electrical construction supervision, inspection, or superintendent experience.
- Extensive experience supporting LNG, natural gas, industrial process, utility, or energy facility projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems and industrial electrical construction practices.
- Experience overseeing EPC contractors and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- LNG facility construction experience.
- Experience with medium-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Instrumentation and controls experience.
- Commissioning and startup experience.
- Utility or owner-side project experience.
- 12 month W2 contract with strong potential for extension
