The Wastewater Plant Chief Operator performs difficult semi-skilled work in overseeing and leading the daily operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. for the Wastewater Department.

Minimum Qualifications:- Graduation from high school or GED
- Valid NC driver's license or valid out-of-state driver's license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver's license within sixty days of employment and good driving record
- Five years of experience in operating a wastewater treatment plant
- Grade IV Biological Wastewater certification
- Ability to obtain appropriate certification(s) within 12 months of employment to serve as dedicated ORC(s)
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. Paid bi-weekly.
