Are you passionate about workplace safety and creating a culture where people go home safe every day? Our Client is looking for a Safety Engineer to join their Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team at a manufacturing facility in Welcome, NC
.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside plant leadership, influence site-wide safety initiatives, and make a real impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, perform root cause analysis, and help implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen the site’s safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
  • Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with environmental permitting and regulatory documentation.
  • Track EHS metrics and help identify safety trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in Lean, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA), incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory audits.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S programs.
  • Experience participating in safety committees or driving site-wide EHS initiatives.
