Are you passionate about workplace safety and creating a culture where people go home safe every day? Our Client is looking for a Safety Engineer to join their Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team at a manufacturing facility in Welcome, NC
.
This is a great opportunity to work alongside plant leadership, influence site-wide safety initiatives, and make a real impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
- Investigate workplace incidents, perform root cause analysis, and help implement corrective actions.
- Partner with leadership to strengthen the site’s safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance initiatives.
- Assist with environmental permitting and regulatory documentation.
- Track EHS metrics and help identify safety trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in Lean, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA), incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory audits.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S programs.
- Experience participating in safety committees or driving site-wide EHS initiatives.
