Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to support operational needs, leads technical training, and manages service calls using digital tools.

Adherence to company policies, safety standards, and effective communication with customers are essential to delivering reliable facility services.

The Maintenance and Refrigeration Professionals team ensures the reliable operation of HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple locations. They perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs while following safety and regulatory standards. With strong technical expertise and effective communication, the team supports retail operations by maintaining equipment functionality and a safe environment. Their collaborative approach and problem-solving skills enable prompt issue resolution, upholding company standards and contributing to smooth business operations.

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations.
• Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Manage service calls, documentation, and coordinate with external providers as needed.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
• Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Skilled in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with customers and team members.
• Ability to lead and mentor field teams while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
