The Street Service Worker I,II,III performs unskilled to difficult skilled and technical work in the construction, maintenance, placement and repair of public infrastructures and facilities such asstreets, sidewalks, drainage, signage, bridges, and related structures for the Street Department .

• Valid NC driver’s license or valid out-of-state driver’s license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver’s license within sixty days of employment and good driving record
• Ability to obtain Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) license within one year of employment
• Flagger certification or ability to obtain within six months
• Two years of experience in construction and maintenance work
• Valid NC Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) or valid out-of-state Class A CDL with the ability to transfer to NC within sixty days of employment and good driving record
• Flagger certification or ability to obtain within six months
• Four years of experience in construction and maintenance work
• Valid NC Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) or valid out-of-state Class A CDL with the ability to transfer to NC within sixty days of employment and good driving record
• Flagger certification or ability to obtain within six months

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. 40 hours per week .
Works On Call and Special Events.
