Our company is currently seeking Construction Apprentices to support projects in the Columbia/Lexington areas. Construction Apprentices will either be assigned to a pipe laying crew or a grading crew, depending on skills and abilities. Opportunities for growth within the company are available.
Responsibilities- Perform labor that may involve physical exertion and practical tasks in road and site construction.
- Flexibility to accommodate various labor activities, including shoveling dirt and sand, using hand tools, digging with hand or post hole diggers, clearing debris, and brooming dirt and debris.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear protection, safety vests, gloves, and steel‑toe boots.
- Work at multiple locations such as plants, new roads and street sites, various building sites, and the office or shop facilities.
- Meet JCW employment standards with regard to preemployment and random drug testing.
- Ability to work safely and follow company policies and procedures.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50–60 pounds.

Columbia/Lexington areas. The role may involve being assigned to a pipe laying crew or a grading crew depending on skills and abilities.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work in various construction environments.
- Flexible and adaptable to different labor tasks and crews.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Willingness to undergo preemployment and random drug testing.
- Ability to lift up to 50–60 pounds on a regular basis.
