The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will provide on-site accounting and tax services at our Lexington, SC office in a full-time capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, performing tax planning and tax preparation for individuals and businesses, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The CPA will analyze financial data to support wealth management strategies, ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, and advise the team and clients on accounting and financial implications of planning decisions.
This role also involves collaborating with advisors to support client meetings, answering client questions regarding financial and tax matters, and contributing to process improvements that enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including general ledger management and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, with attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Experience in Tax Preparation, including individual and business returns, and familiarity with current tax regulations.
- Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in wealth management, tax advisory, or public accounting is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with a small team and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
