Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000

About the Opportunity

A global leader in industrial equipment and energy solutions is seeking a Transport Scheduler to join its operations team in either Mendon, MA or Lexington, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics or supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating transportation, optimizing schedules, and supporting critical field operations.

In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating the movement of equipment between service centers and customer sites while ensuring transportation is efficient, cost-effective, and completed on schedule. You'll partner with operations, logistics, inventory, and customer-facing teams to keep equipment moving and projects on track.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving logistical challenges in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation for equipment deliveries, collections, and transfers.
  • Develop cost-effective transportation schedules and optimize fleet movements.
  • Manage equipment movements between regional locations and service centers.
  • Schedule and coordinate weekly inventory cycle counts.
  • Support equipment availability, fuel logistics, and rehire coordination.
  • Process transportation-related purchase orders, invoicing, and internal documentation.
  • Coordinate intercompany equipment transfers and maintain required shipping documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and customer support teams to ensure timely equipment availability.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and internal systems to track transportation activity and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, vocational training, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in transportation scheduling, dispatch, logistics, fleet coordination, supply chain, or operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve operational challenges using data.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
