Position: Process Quality Manager (3PL Operations/Michelin Plant inside US5)

Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for validating quality processes, maintaining and improving operational quality, investigating customer and partner complaints, and establishing the overall quality process in the plant operation. The Quality Manager must understand core business service objectives and processes and provide support for the operations team through analytical tools and analysis.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with safety procedures and expectations.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve quality by completing company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigate customer and partner complaints; collaborate with other management to develop new procedures, designs, and training methods.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, methods, instructions, and quality planning on assigned program(s); perform surveys, internal audits, and process audits.
  • Implement and improve quality control operating procedures.
  • Ensure deliverables are met as defined to achieve success.
  • Challenge "business as usual" using a fact-based, objective mindset.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal staff to ensure effective communication with all related functional areas.
  • Perform other requests and duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or upper-level management.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint); proficient with Google Workspace.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to see the overall picture.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Effective communication with management, coworkers, customers, partners, and visitors.
  • Ability to create easily understood procedures to ensure quality control; communicate and train employees on proper quality procedures.
Education, Experience, And Certification
  • Two (2) or more years of quality experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant work experience.
  • Plant experience preferred.
  • ISO 9000 Certification or Six Sigma, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control procedures and relevant legal standards.

  • Have reliable transportation.

  • Be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
  • Be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
Working Conditions

Varied working conditions between controlled and uncontrolled environments. Includes walking and standing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching. Work both outside and inside; around machinery with moving parts; exposure to dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces. Use of personal protective equipment is required.
