** This position will require regular travel to all Braden Health facilities, including facilities in Brownsville, Lexington, Linden, and Erin, TN as well as a facility in Stuart, Virginia. Travel to additional facilities will be required once additional facilities are opened.
Position General Summary:
This position is an Essential position at the facility to ensure efficient operations and patient care. Employees hired into an Essential position are expected to report to work for their scheduled shifts regardless of the environmental weather and road conditions that may exist.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the repair and preventive maintenance of equipment ranging from patient care-related devices to office equipment. Manages all aspects of the equipment life cycle including installation, upgrade, service support, inventory control, parts procurement, technical training, and service documentation. Closely monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided by both in-house and external service suppliers ensuring cost effective equipment reliability.
Manages medical equipment inspection and maintenance schedules to ensure they are completed according to regulatory requirements. Identifies, corrects or manages problems quickly to avoid interruption of patient care or clinical operations. Maintains medical equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Responds to major medical equipment failures which impact patient safety or patient care.
Facility General Responsibilities:
- Attend facility new hire orientation as scheduled by HR
- Complete Department Orientation Initial Competency within 7 days of hire date
- Complete Department Initial Skills Competency within 90 days of hire date
- Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures
- Respect cultural and religious practices of patients from all backgrounds
- Follow HIPAA regulations at all times
- Be punctual and dependent for assigned shifts
- Dress within the dress code requirements of the facility
- Identifies all patients using at least two identifiers verbally (name and DOB), and by checking
- Follows Hospital Wide and Department Specific policies and procedures
- Must interact with physicians, guest, staff, and patients pleasantly, cooperatively, and effectively
Ability to demonstrate broad and comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex and/or unprecedented situations across multiple functional areas.
Team Work:
Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows. Results may impact the operations of one or more departments.
Customer Service:
Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s).
Position Requirements:
Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Certifications
Vocational or Technical training in related field required. Associates degree or equivalent required. 5 years related work experience preferred. Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
Working Conditions:
Primarily indoors in climate controlled environment. Physical Nature of the Job:
Heavy work:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently. Work is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing and/or moving.
