Indirect Commodity Manager

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Commodity Manager to oversee indirect strategic sourcing processes, including contract management, supplier selection, and pricing negotiations. The role involves developing and implementing commodity management best practices to ensure efficiency and efficacy in the total cost of ownership of products. This position requires maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating favorable terms for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor suppliers' performance and conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure compliance with organizational goals and financial targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure commodity strategies align with business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to align with best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including environmental and safety requirements.
  • Track supply chain procurement metrics and report performance to management.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members in strategic sourcing processes.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing processes.
  • Successful track record in managing indirect materials and services.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong logical thinking and attention to detail.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and technology, including ERP systems.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to procurement.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders across various business locations to execute cost reduction initiatives and ensure project outcomes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90300.00 - $135000.00/yr. The candidate will receive company benefits once they are made it to the final round of the interview process.
