CNC Machine Operator
Aerotek is hiring CNC Machine Operator
Responsibilities- Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality assurance on manufactured products.
- Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
- Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation using micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece with powered hand tools.
- Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
- Execute minor program changes, properly save and check them.
- Stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
- Comfortably operate hoists and cranes to move product as needed throughout shift.
- Rivet and/or spot weld work pieces as needed.
- Proficiency in machining, blueprint reading, and using micrometers and gauges.
- Experience with CNC lathe, CNC mill, vertical machining, and CNC machines.
- Knowledge of Siemens systems and the ability to interpret G&M codes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings for metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in CNC machining strongly desired.
- Candidates can be considered with TCAT machine tool program or equivalent.
- Experience with digital micrometers and calipers required, manual can be taught.
- Experience in job shop or manufacturing in a relatable field (CNC, machining, technical machine operations).
- High school diploma or GED required.
This is a permanent position based out of Lexington, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50814.00 - $55895.00/yr.
