CNC Machine Operator

Aerotek is hiring CNC Machine Operator

• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality assurance on manufactured products.
• Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation using micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece with powered hand tools.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
• Execute minor program changes, properly save and check them.
• Stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
• Comfortably operate hoists and cranes to move product as needed throughout shift.
• Rivet and/or spot weld work pieces as needed.

• Proficiency in machining, blueprint reading, and using micrometers and gauges.
• Experience with CNC lathe, CNC mill, vertical machining, and CNC machines.
• Knowledge of Siemens systems and the ability to interpret G&M codes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings for metrics.

• 1-2 years of experience in CNC machining strongly desired.
• Candidates can be considered with TCAT machine tool program or equivalent.
• Experience with digital micrometers and calipers required, manual can be taught.
• Experience in job shop or manufacturing in a relatable field (CNC, machining, technical machine operations).
• High school diploma or GED required.

This is a permanent position based out of Lexington, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50814.00 - $55895.00/yr. This is a fully onsite position in Lexington, TN.
