Job Description
As a CNC Machine operator, you will read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
- Push buttons or depress pedal to activate machine.
- Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece with powered hand tools.
- Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces. Perform minor program changes, properly save and check them.
- Set up machine, stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
- Rivet and/or spot weld work pieces.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment needed to perform the job.
- Must have good listening and communication skills.
- Able to work well with others as a good team player.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
- Secures materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information containers.
- Makes simple adjustments and performs routine preventive maintenance.
- Assembles crates or boxes to contain products such as machines or vehicles.
- Cleans work area, spillage, and equipment as required.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently walks. The employee occasionally sits and stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds.

CompensationThe hourly rate is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.
