Production Operator (Direct Hire)

Wabtec is now hiring for a Production Operator in Lexington, TN. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Schedules available include:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Wabtec is seeking assembly production operators to support the manufacturing of industry-leading cooling and heat transfer products. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on production work, working with tools, and interpreting blueprints to build high-quality products in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three years of industrial or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
Experience Requirements
  • Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Familiarity with hand tools and measuring tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Job Duties
  • Assemble components according to blueprints and work instructions
  • Position, align, and fasten parts using bolts, clips, screws, and other hardware
  • Perform assembly work in departments including Assembly, CAC, Roll, Fin/Tube, Cuprobraze, and AALS
  • Install and secure components to meet production specifications
  • Remove small quantities of metal using hand tools to achieve proper fit and alignment
  • Utilize measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality standards
  • Operate hand tools, hammers, roller swagers, and other production equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all quality, production, and safety procedures
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts and team production goals
