Job Summary
Co‑develop and execute sales strategy and identify customer needs to sell appropriate products to the key account. Prepare order details for handoff to internal account manager.
Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned key account and maintain communication with production facility.
- Serve as the face of EPGA to the key account.
- Prepare quotes and related documents for customers.
- Secure orders, taking into consideration specific customer needs.
- Communicate with internal account managers and customers to resolve any quality or invoicing problems.
- Keep accurate documentation of orders, accounts, issues, and related details.
- Travel to customer sites to solicit orders, develop new products, and stay current on market needs and changes.
- Communicate with customers by telephone or e‑mail as needed.
- Determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates to accommodate company goals.
- Represent company at trade association meetings and product trade shows to promote products and develop customer relationships.
- Promote Nidec’s new growth mindset.
- Monitor profit and lead efforts to improve margins through price increases or cost reductions.
- Communicate regularly with management about gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide feedback on competitive activities in sales, manufacturing, pricing, and product development.
- 8–10 years of selling experience to large OEMs.
- Experience in engineering, project management, Six Sigma or other quality programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Business or Engineering.
- Works independently on moderately complex projects and may be responsible for entire processes within the team.
- Communicates with senior leadership and external partners as required.
- Influences employees within the business unit to align on new concepts, practices and approaches.
- Manages end‑to‑end projects or processes and coaches or reviews work of other professionals.
- Has extensive knowledge of the specialty area and industry practices.
