Job Duties- Maintaining all department records
- Budget calculation, reconciliation, and maintenance.
- Keeping complete cadet records.
- Ensuring adequate supplies are available for contract and non-contract items
- Sufficient office supplies for the department.
- Professional dealings with vendors and providing complete purchase information.
- Procurement of review copies of textbooks as needed.
- Serving as department receptionist with courteous phone and email correspondence.
- Recording and maintaining minutes for department meetings.
- Assisting with documents through the VMI systems
- Travel authorization and reimbursement.
- Event planning.
- Faculty committee work.
- Course attendance forms.
- Working with faculty candidates for employment and visiting speakers
- Completing travel and lodging documents for the candidate/speaker.
- Providing timely reimbursement documents.
- Attending training sessions as necessary
- Learning new software systems for purchasing, travel, etc.
- Support of the MERC purchases.
- Flexibility in special assignments as needed for important departmental duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred.
- Two years of administrative office experience, or combination of education and experience.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
