Role Description

The Part-Time Receptionist will work on-site in Lexington, VA, serving as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and callers. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting and directing guests, answering and routing phone calls, and providing clear, courteous information about the facility and its services. The role involves performing basic clerical tasks such as managing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining reception area organization, and supporting administrative staff with filing, data entry, and scheduling.

The Receptionist helps ensure a welcoming, professional atmosphere that aligns with Heritage Hall’s commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care. Part‑time hours may include weekday, evening, and weekend shifts based on operational needs.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Phone Etiquette skills to handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess Receptionist Duties experience, including greeting visitors, managing sign‑in procedures, and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Candidates should possess Clerical Skills such as filing, data entry, scheduling, and basic computer proficiency (email and office software).
  • Candidates should possess clear, respectful Communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Service abilities, maintaining a calm, friendly, and solution‑focused approach in a healthcare environment.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in healthcare or senior care settings, familiarity with confidentiality standards (such as HIPAA), and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy reception area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work part‑time on‑site in Lexington, VA are essential.
