Design Hire is seeking a Superintendent to manage field execution for commercial construction projects. This role is a strong fit for someone with MEP construction experience who can lead field crews, maintain quality, drive accountability, and support projects through punch list, closeout, and final handoff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily field operations, crew activity, jobsite coordination, and construction progress.
- Lead union or craft field crews while maintaining productivity, safety, quality, and professionalism.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and internal teams to keep work moving.
- Support QA/QC inspections, issue resolution, field documentation, punch list completion, and project closeout.
- Identify schedule risks, manpower needs, installation conflicts, and field issues before they impact delivery.
- Experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, General Foreman, Field Manager, or similar construction leadership role.
- Strong background in MEP construction, mechanical construction, or related field-based project work.
- Experience leading union or craft field crews required.
- Fire suppression system experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of QA/QC, punch list management, closeout, and project handoff.
- Ability to read drawings, understand construction documentation, and manage field execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate between field teams, project managers, and customers.
- Calm, accountable leadership style with the ability to handle pressure, pushback, and changing jobsite priorities.
