Job Title

Lecturer of Accounting

Required Education
  • Master’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
Job Summary

The Von Allmen School of Accountancy at the University of Kentucky invites applications for Lecturer positions. Selected candidates will be appointed to a full‑time 9‑month non‑tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two‑year period with potential renewal and promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach up to four accounting courses per semester, including introductory and advanced courses.
  • Fulfill service needs related to the various programs in the school.
  • Distribute effort 90% teaching and 10% service.
  • Assist in curriculum development and student advising as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in accounting or related field (required).
  • Professional licensure/certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
  • Significant accounting‑related work experience preferred.
  • A doctoral degree (PhD, DBA) preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred.
