day shift, three 12 hour shifts
Here is an opportunity to thrive and bring your valuable skills to life within a setting known for providing the best quality care to patients. As a clinical associate, you will provide basic clinical services to patients and clerical support to the unit health‑care team.
Responsibilities- Welcomes and assists patients and visitors with registration.
- May assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Coordinates patient flow into/out of area using department/unit specific software and Intranet. Schedules patient therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
- May review medical records for outstanding orders and notifies nurse of stat orders and medication changes.
- Cleans unit‑based equipment and gathers supplies needed to operate equipment between patients as needed.
- Transports patients, supplies specimens and equipment within the facility.
- May assist with chart audits.
- May perform unit‑based patient care tasks for patients.
- May participate in the sitter process.
- Interacts with patients, visitors, physicians, and other health professionals.
- Answers incoming calls via telephone and patient call system. Routes calls as needed and takes messages.
- Provides scheduling coverage support for department/unit staff scheduling, including back up coverage.
- Operates and maintains general office equipment. Orders department/unit supplies and equipment and stocks/organizes supplies.
- Serves as a resource for department/unit software system.
- Monitors cleanliness of waiting and break rooms and performs safety/environmental rounds.
- Assists with maintaining regulatory compliance in unit.
Please note - employee must attend mandatory orientation classes during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm for the first 2 weeks of employment. All classes require to be in person except for 2 online classes.
What We Require EducationHigh school graduate or GED.
Experiencenone
Licensure, certification, and/or registration- Critical Access Area - Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
AHA BLS-HCP required.
OtherMinimum Qualifications
Effective interpersonal, communication, and team‑working skills. Must be organized and self‑motivated. Must have knowledge of office procedure and equipment.
