Job OverviewPerforms quality inspections and audits in accordance with quality assurance program guidelines to prevent or eliminate errors due to overages, shortages or non‑compliant materials.
Duties and Responsibilities- Follows specific instructions regarding special projects that involve the packing, repacking, labeling, sorting, and display assembly of product based on customer requirements.
- Ensures that the quantity, quality, labeling and addressing of outbound orders is correct.
- Performs inspection of outgoing material and works with personnel to identify, isolate and troubleshoot quality related concerns.
- Accounts for all defective or damaged product and follows appropriate corrective action.
- Verifies the accuracy of product count and product information against shipping and receiving documents, and checks product for damage.
- Reports shortages, damages, quality issues, and mis‑shipments to management.
- Completes daily task paperwork accurately and entirely.

- Makes recommendations to stop shipment and storage of materials based on quality issues.
- Provides feedback to coworkers regarding Quality issues.
- Operates non‑powered material handling equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs cycle counts or verification of inventory quantities and locations.
- Assist the Warehouse team in daily tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Basic reading and math skills
- Must be computer literate
- Previous experience in an Automotive Distribution Environment, preferred
- Previous experience with continuous improvement plans and Lean Manufacturing techniques, preferred
- Familiarity with SOX Compliance Requirements, preferred
- Familiarity with SDS/Hazmat Safety, preferred
- Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely as required
- Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills
- Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed due to customer requirements
