Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Position Overview
As a Material Handler, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high‑energy warehouse environment, providing all material to production departments for manufacturing the best rail vehicles in the world.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all safety requirements, including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Perform receiving, put‑away, picking, kitting, or delivery of material to production.
- Ensure transactional accuracy for all material movements, including correct quantity and proper MRP system entries.
- Label all material with correct identifiers and part numbers.
- Handle material carefully to prevent damage during handling in the warehouse or delivery to production.
- Immediately notify supervisor of any quality or delivery issues.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles (crane, forklift, order picker, scissor lift, etc.) as required; certifications may be required for certain equipment.
- Meet production schedule for material delivery to production.
- Explain warehouse procedures and processes to fellow workers.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Basic English skills – ability to read and understand written instructions and to communicate verbally.
- Previous warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Powered industrial vehicle certification (preferred).
- Ability to lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds.
- Standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using hands to handle objects or tools.
- Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment when required.
- Frequent verbal communication and occasional tasks that may involve detecting odors.

$17.00/hr – $20.74/hr per hour. Actual wage offered may vary based on budget, experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
