Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
Are you an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing your team, and driving improvements in safety, quality, and productivity?
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead 2nd Shift operations and play a key role in ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working directly with Group Leaders and Associates, solving problems in real time, developing employees, and continuously improving manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do- Lead daily 2nd Shift production operations and ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
- Provide leadership and direction to Group Leaders, Assistant Group Leaders, Line Leaders, and Production Associates.
- Spend significant time on the production floor observing operations, identifying opportunities, and addressing issues quickly.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
. - Monitor production performance and identify countermeasures for delays, quality issues, safety concerns, and productivity challenges.
- Partner with Group Leaders to ensure standard operating procedures, work instructions, and 4S standards are followed and maintained.
- Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Coach and develop Group Leaders in leadership, technical skills, problem-solving, and employee management.
- Ensure effective communication and a smooth handoff between shifts.
- Partner with Human Resources on employee training, evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary matters when necessary.
- Help identify staffing and manpower requirements in partnership with Production Management, Production Control, and Human Resources.
- Develop and implement training programs for new and temporary employees, particularly during their first 21 days.
- Monitor areas impacting production efficiency, including standard times, TPM, quality checks, and productivity.
- Support compliance with production-related requirements within the company's Quality Management System.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production Control, HR, and other departments to resolve issues and improve operations.
- Help Group Leaders develop Standard Operation Sheets, setup procedures, tool-change procedures, and equipment checklists.
- Attend production and management meetings as required.
- Conduct routine building and security checks.
- Address employee concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the Production Department and overall operation.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or related manufacturing certification preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
. - Strong understanding of manufacturing efficiency, gauging, standard times, Kanban, and traceability.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, train, and develop a large production team.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to make decisions and solve problems on the production floor.
- A demonstrated history of stability and long-term commitment in previous manufacturing roles

Competitive Pay: $65,000 - $73,000 - based on experience
