This is an RN opportunity with Med/Surg at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital (CRBH) in Lexington, VA. The role is full-time, working evening/night with alternate weekends and holidays as required. A sign‑on bonus is available: $30K for experienced RNs and $20K for new graduate RNs.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes for patients of all ages.
• Perform age‑specific admission and ongoing assessments, document findings, and develop a plan of care.
• Collaborate with the health‑care team, patient, and family to develop, implement, and evaluate an interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Revise plans in response to changes in patient status.
• Accurately administer and document treatments and medications using the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Identify and address patient/family educational needs and incorporate them into the care plan.
• Contribute to performance‑improvement activities and enhance quality of care.
• Serve as a patient advocate, protecting patient rights and providing psychological, social, and cultural support.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development appropriate to patient populations.
• Engage in evidence‑based practice and quality improvement projects.
• Model clinical excellence for coworkers, students, and physicians.
• Manage resources, set priorities, and alter the environment to meet patient needs.
• Complete managerial or director‑assigned projects within defined timelines.
• Use problem‑solving methods to resolve patient and personnel situations.
• Actively participate in the orientation of new employees and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to unit, hospital, and system activities that promote staff participation in decision‑making.
• Assist with educational activities for the unit or department.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school or approved nursing program, eligible to sit for the Virginia RN licensure examination.
• Licensure:
  Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• Life Support: AHA BLS‑HCP required; may need to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, or NRP based on unit.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
• Other:
  Strong communication, critical thinking, and delegation skills; ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
