How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
Flex time (PRN) opportunity for NP or PA with the Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital
- Hospitalist group.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program or an accredited Physician Assistant program required.

Experience:

1 year of clinical experience preferred. Additional experience may be required based on specialty.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Nurse Practitioners must also hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia. Must be eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

Life Support:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required as appropriate to the position.

• Must maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of Carilion Clinic, the Virginia Board of Medicine or Nursing, and applicable certifying bodies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard computer systems required.
