Unit Overview: 4G, Cardiovascular, Thoracic Telemetry unit.
4G is a 20 bed telemetry unit. This unit specializes in post‑op CABG patients, post‑op cardiac surgery, CHF and moderate‑risk chest pain patients. The population has multiple co‑morbidities and complex care. Patients are transferred from ICU, ED and PACU.

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. The RN exemplifies compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy, honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.
As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; providing patient and family‑centered education; coordinating care and individualized treatment planning as applicable.
Minimum Education , Experience, Training and Licensures
Required:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
- Basic life support certification within 30 days from hire date.
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
