The LPN is a member of the multidisciplinary ambulatory team responsible for patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The LPN performs duties such as starting IVs, simple wound dressings, and notifying the RN or LIP of any changes or abnormalities in the patient’s condition.

• Initiate and troubleshoot IV access.
• Apply simple wound dressings.
• Monitor patient status and report changes or abnormalities to the RN or LIP.
• Support overall patient care within the ambulatory setting.

  Education:
  
  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential.
• Required License/Registration/Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse – Kentucky Licensure.
• No prior clinical experience required.

Ability to handle average weights or objects up to 25 pounds with some sitting, standing, or walking.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Day Shift, 40 hrs/wk). Other hours/schedule as needed.

• Eligibility: LPN/Hospital/UKHC and LPN/Ambulatory/UKHC roles, 0.9 FTE or higher for new grads, 0.6 FTE or higher for experienced hires.
• Payout Structure: New Grad: $15,000 total ($5,000 after orientation, $5,000 at 12‑month anniversary, $5,000 at 18‑month anniversary). Experienced: $15,000 total ($5,000 after orientation, $5,000 at 12‑month anniversary, $5,000 at 24‑month anniversary).
• Bonus applies for positions with valid sign‑on bonus period through July 31 2026.
