Physical Therapist

The position involves working primarily in an outpatient setting. There will be some weekend coverage in an acute care setting. Candidates must be able to work one holiday for each 13-week contract in rotation with staff. Medical or religious exemptions for vaccinations are allowed for COVID-19 and flu vaccines. Daily patient census will be between 9-10 patients with 4-5 evaluations and treatments.

Interdisciplinary support may be available to assist with patient care. Candidates will treat adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Patient diagnoses will vary and may include orthopedic issues, neurological conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation. Experience with adaptive devices, gait training, sensory response, and a variety of therapeutic techniques is required. Strong time management and communication skills are necessary for effective patient and family education.

Candidates should have familiarity with standard patient care equipment and rehabilitation tools. Collaborative skills are important to interact with various healthcare team members.
