Senior Research Associate I, Bioanalytical

Keros is seeking a Senior Research Associate with working knowledge of large molecule/ biologics bioanalytical techniques and laboratory skills. This person will develop and perform bioanalytical methods for programs in preclinical and clinical development, document the methods used, interpret, and summarize the data collected. This role will report into the Bioanalytical Scientist and will be responsible for activities related to the development, qualification and bio-analysis for non-regulated methods and samples in support of drug candidate development.

This individual will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the bioanalytical assay development for platform and therapeutic areas, and work in a fast-paced environment as part of a highly collaborative team.

This is a full-time laboratory position based in Lexington, MA.

• Design, develop, optimize, and execute bioanalytical assays to support nonclinical studies, including PK, PD, biomarker, and ADA/immunogenicity endpoints
• Execute ligand-binding assays and cell-based assays, ensuring robust assay performance, data quality, and compliance with applicable guidelines
• Help to identify and develop novel bioanalytical approaches to address important scientific questions in support of the discovery and development of novel drug candidates
• Collaborate, as needed, with external vendors for the transfer of primarily ELISA/ECL based PK, ADA, and biomarker assays to support development of large molecule drug candidates
• Perform internal testing of preclinical samples
• Other duties and responsibilities as required by study needs.

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in an industrial pharmaceutical/biotechnology lab setting
• Strong hands-on experience with plate-based assays, including ELISA; experience with MSD and Luminex assays is a plus
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
• Experience with pharmacokinetic (PK) and anti-drug antibody (ADA) assays, assay validation, and data analysis is a plus
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills with close attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including scientific documentation
• Willingness to learn, excellent teamwork and collaborative skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, and other relevant factors.

$74,000—$99,000 USD
