About The Role
As a Business Account Manager you will join our account management and business development team, which is driving the adoption of Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess® for both global pharma- and innovative biotechnology organizations. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities as well as expanding business with existing customers, which will ultimately power pharmaceutical industry and help make breakthrough discoveries and bring them to market faster.
This is an interdisciplinary role within the commercial organization at Genedata interfacing sales- and account management, product management and marketing.
This full‑time position is based at our office in Lexington, MA.
It requires about 20% travel within the US and occasional travel to Europe.
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $125,000 USD, depending on experience. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for sales commission.
Your Responsibilities- Stakeholder management (in pre- and post-sales)
- Coordinate with Genedata-internal stakeholders (e.g., project and product management and technical sales)
- Understand customer pain points to identify opportunities for new business development and business expansion with existing customers
- Build strong customer relationships across entire organizations with scientists, R&D heads, IT managers and other stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver scientific and sales presentations
- MSc or PhD in biology, biotechnology, bioprocess, bioinformatics, or a related field
- Familiar with the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or software industry
- Familiar with biopharma R&D processes (antibody screening technologies, CGT, discovery technologies, bioprocess, bioanalytics, CMC), biopharma production, analytical instrumentation, or lab automation
- Familiarity with enterprise or capital equipment sales and stakeholder management is a plus
- Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently
- Ability to interact productively with scientists and IT experts at all levels of an organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills in combination with a talent for giving presentations
