Job Description
The Line Wirer is responsible for assembling, wiring, and installing electrical components in panels, equipment, or production units according to schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble control panels.
- Perform point-to-point wiring and component installation, including circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, and PLCs.
- Route and secure wiring neatly to ensure proper function and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct quality checks and functional testing of panels before final installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or component issues to ensure proper operation.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices for electrical work.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and efficiency.
Job Type & Location
This is a contract to hire position based out of Lexington, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.23 - $25.73/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
