Job DutiesVirginia Military Institute Athletics, an NCAA Division I member and member of the America East Conference is seeking an Assistant Swimming Coach.
- Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the Swimming Program.
- Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes.
- Coordinate team travel arrangements.
- Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development, injury prevention, and performance enhancement
- Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and VMI administration to support student-athlete academic progress and personal development.
- Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Ensure compliance with VMI, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree as well as coaching experience.
- Must posses a valid drivers license
- Demonstrated success in training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes
- Proven track record in recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with staff and administrators
- Work well within a team environment and meet deadlines while balancing multiple tasks.
