Job Overview
The Warehouse Coordinator supports inbound, outbound, and general warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery and scheduling of freight and proper distribution of warehouse items. Activities include data entry, report preparation and distribution, and record maintenance.
Responsibilities- Ensure optimal warehouse operations by preparing and processing routine forms, reports, and documents such as inbound/outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels, etc.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs; respond to inquiries and research information.
- Collect, track, and input data on relevant operating metrics to support warehouse performance, including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate overtime.
- Support outbound functions: check returns and credit slips, assemble returned orders for return to picking slot, investigate picking errors, find missing products.
- Interact with warehouse personnel to solve selection and shipping issues.
- Complete outbound paperwork and reports, including documents for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, and trucks received at night; update the master storage report.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Minimum one‑year production and/or warehouse experience, preferably in a food environment.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities for limited‑scope problems.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to support others in the department and division.
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
- One‑year clerical or warehouse admin work experience.
- Computer skills, data entry and word‑processing skills.
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push/pull, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, grasp objects, manipulate objects, and demonstrate manual dexterity continuously or frequently as specified. Must lift 1‑10 lbs frequently, 11‑20 lbs frequently, 21‑50 lbs frequently, 51‑100 lbs occasionally.
Work ScheduleSunday–Thursday; alternate Friday shifts from 5:15 pm until finish. Days and hours may be subject to change based on business needs.
Salary and BenefitsExpected base rate $23.50 per hour (range $15.47–$25.77 per hour depending on experience). Overtime compensation applies as applicable. Lexington, SC. Safe work environment includes cooler and freezer areas (as low as –5 °C) and some office desk work.
