Overview

We’re hiring:
Electrician Multi Skilled at Progress Housing Group
. Join our Property Services team to deliver high-quality electrical services across our housing portfolio.

Location: Leyland •
Hours: 39 hours per week •
Contract: Permanent

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)
  • Electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations in homes across our housing stock
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely, effective resolutions
  • Conducting periodic inspection and testing in line with regulations (depending on experience)
  • Ensuring compliance with the latest electrical safety standards
  • Working respectfully in occupied homes, maintaining a professional and courteous approach
  • Supporting void property turnaround to ensure homes are ready for new tenants
  • Participating in our on-call rota (currently 1 in every 20 weeks) to respond to emergency repairs
What we are looking for (Qualifications)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • Proven experience in domestic electrical work, ideally within Domestic or Social Housing environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing - desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in both void and tenanted properties
  • Familiarity with using mobile job management systems or handheld devices
  • Excellent communication skills and a respectful approach when working in occupied homes
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call rota (currently approx. 1 in every 20 weeks)
