Our client specialises in the supply, build, refurbishment and maintenance of a wide range of commercial vehicles and equipment - and they're now looking for a talented Auto Electrician to join their expanding team.

The Role

Based in a modern workshop and production facility, you'll play a hands-on role in building, repairing, and enhancing specialist refuse collection vehicles and equipment.

No two days are the same - from working on brand-new builds to diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on in-service vehicles. If you enjoy variety and technical challenges, this role offers plenty of both.

Key Responsibilities

Installing wiring looms, lighting systems, and electrical components across commercial vehicle chassis and bodies
Fitting and connecting bin lift control systems, CANbus systems, reverse cameras, sensors, warning lights, and beacons
Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, build specifications, and technical drawings
Carrying out diagnostics and fault finding using multimeters and specialist diagnostic equipment
Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and complies with health & safety regulations
Contributing to continuous improvements within the production process
Working collaboratively with mechanical fitters, body builders, and quality teams to maintain a smooth workflow

39 hours per week
Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £18 - £22 per hour (depending on experience)
