** Payroll Specialist
**** Full Time
** We are searching for a competent and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to assist the Controller with timely and accurate preparation of payroll information. This role is essential for the precise and prompt completion of payroll-related duties.

What You Will Do:

* Communicate effectively with team members and managers, maintain hourly computation for payroll from time and attendance software, UKG
* Verifies and updates accounts of employees' PTO and EIB leave that is earned and used, then records and posts changes after each payroll
* Effectively and promptly communicates payroll issues with the Controller
* Prepares reports, surveys, and other required requests for payroll information accurately and in a timely manner
* Assists the Controller with monthly close, budgets, audits, and other projects as well as cross-trains with Accounts Payable in order to serve as a back-up when needed

Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent required
* Minimum of three (3) years experience in Payroll preferred
* Six (6) hours of college accounting courses preferred
* Associate's degree in Business or Accounting preferred
* Hospital experience preferred
* Knowledge of accounting procedures required
* Basic computer skills as well as verbal and written communication skills required###
