P.E. Teacher - Prairie View Elementary School

Prairie View Elementary School, part of Liberal USD 480, is seeking a full‑time Physical Education teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Immediate Supervisor:
Building Principal.

Start date:

July 30, 2026.

Up to $5,000 sign‑on bonus.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Kansas Teacher’s Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
• Preferred ESOL endorsement with $500 annual stipend bonus for Kansas ESOL licensed employees.
• Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student‑teaching experience.

• Communicate high expectations to all learners.
• Incorporate appropriate use of technology.
• Effectively implement the district‑adopted curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans using effective lesson design.
• Integrate a variety of informal and formal assessments into instruction.
• Administer standardized tests in accordance with district testing protocol.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior necessary for effective participation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of student progress.
• Create a positive, inviting, and safe learning environment.
• Communicate effectively and promote positive interpersonal relationships.
• Support the district’s educational mission for all students and implement all board regulations and policies in a fair and equitable manner.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the principal or superintendent.

Salary and work year to be determined in accordance with the Professional Agreement and approved by the U.S.D. #480 Board of Education.

Position Type:
Full‑Time.

Annual Salary: $51,788 to $85,927.

Evaluation will be in accordance with U.S.D. #480 Board of Education policies.
