Interventionist School Year
USD 480 is hiring for the position of Interventionist School Year. Up to $5,000 sign on bonus.
An Interventionist is a certified teacher that provides differentiated instructions to students in a classroom/small group/individual setting for them to master academic content and experience.
Role of Interventionist:
Some pull out sessions may be necessary based on student needs. Interventionists provide instruction using content-based lessons in conjunction and in close collaboration with the regular classroom teacher. Documentation of progress monitoring and interventions offered to students. Provide lessons that are different from Tier 1 instruction. Conduct/attend SIT meetings.
Collaboration:
Working collaboratively with subject-area or grade-level teachers is part of the interventionists' role. Ultimately, combining the teacher of subject matter with language development and/or concept/skill development specific to that subject area constitutes the ideal learning experience. This type of collaboration requires a high level of interdependence on the part of the teachers involved, but its potential to enhance learning for all will make efforts worthwhile.
