- Plan and deliver engaging, standards‑based instruction aligned with district curriculum and Kansas College and Career Ready Standards.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of students.
- Use research‑based instructional strategies and educational technology to maximize student learning.
- Monitor student progress through formal and informal assessments and use data to guide instruction.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, attendance, and required documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Collaborate with grade‑level teams, interventionists, special education staff, instructional coaches, and administrators.
- Supervise students during instructional and non‑instructional times.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, and school improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or superintendent.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid Kansas teaching license or eligibility to obtain Kansas licensure with the appropriate endorsement.
- Knowledge of effective instructional practices, classroom management, and child development.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing an equitable and inclusive learning environment.
- Previous elementary teaching experience.
- Experience using student assessment data to guide instruction.
- Familiarity with instructional technology.
- Training or experience in MTSS, differentiated instruction, and social‑emotional learning.
- English Learner (EL/ESL) endorsement is a plus.

Work EnvironmentWork is performed primarily in classroom and school settings with frequent collaboration among teachers, administrators, students, and families. The environment typically includes a moderate noise level and may involve travel between district buildings.
Terms of Employment, Evaluation and SalarySalary: $51,788 to $85,927 per year.
Terms of employment, benefits, and work calendar are established in accordance with the negotiated Professional Agreement and approved by the USD 480 Board of Education.
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the USD 480 Board of Education.
